Rybakina is out and the market has already moved past her
"Elena Rybakina sets up blockbuster Coco Sabalenka final at US Open," per the BBC overnight. On Kalshi, the Rybakina-to-win-it-all market is sitting at 6% on about $150K of 24-hour volume. The semifinal loss didn't crater the price. The price already knew.
The headline confirms the bracket, not the thesis. Rybakina had been drifting for days as the semifinal approached, and the move into single digits happened before the match resolved. By the time the BBC filed, there was nothing left to reprice on her line.
What's interesting is where the money isn't going. A defending champion and world No. 1 reaches the final, and the market is still fading her hard against the other side. The crowd is weighing the head-to-head and the home-crowd factor in New York more than the seeding sheet. Ranking is doing less work here than venue and matchup history.
Watch the champion market when the final starts Saturday. If Sabalenka's number stays stuck in the low 20s through the first set, the crowd has made up its mind about what the ranking is actually worth.

New Orleans vs Detroit Pro Football game: New Orleans wins? Resolves in 4 days · $53K lifetime volume | NEW ORLEANS 26% |
Detroit opens as a 7-point home favorite at Ford Field with de-vigged fair-win probabilities of DET 73% / NO 27%, a substantial line reflecting Detroit's edge in this Week 1 matchup. New Orleans is traveling to face a Lions squad that the books rate as a clear favorite, and the Saints carry notable absences including Bryan Bresee on the defensive line. Detroit's injury list is also meaningful (Brian Branch, Kerby Joseph both out in the secondary), which could marginally help New Orleans's passing attack, but the 7-point spread indicates the books see Detroit as decisively better regardless.
